Bilgah Beach Hotel (former Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel)

Position 1: “Sports & Leisure Attendant” 

 

General purpose:

To operate and work in accordance with standards prescribed in the Spa Manual.To welcome guests to the Spa area and assist them prior to and after their treatments.

Main Duties

• To check and set up the daily operations of the male/female spa according to Spa standards.
• To replenish all necessary items in male/female spa promptly.
• To greet the guest upon entering the male/female spa.
• To maintain the water in the male/female spa areas.
• To provide service promptly, courteously and accurately.
• To request, collect stock and supplies in accordance with minimum stock levels.
• To evaluate the operations and procedures, and suggest improvements to the Assistant Spa Manager/Head Attendant.
• To ensure the cleanliness of the spa facilities such as Gym, pools, changing rooms
• To ensure all equipment is well maintained and in safe condition
• To handle all guest complaints and record all guest comments.
• To report any breakage, damage & loss to the Team Leaders.
• To assist the Therapists/Practitioners to prepare for treatments or baths when needed.
• Must have working knowledge of Property management system, Telephone and paging/intercom system, Steam room and Sauna controls, laundry equipment Physical.
• Assist the guests and members on poolside and replenishing with towels, sunbeds, providing other amenities as required
• Must be lead by example by demonstrating the Hallmarks and guiding principles in their role continuously.
• Must be able to perform any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

Requirements:

• 1 year experience in a similar position
• Previous experience within a spa environment
• High school graduate
• First aid qualification
• Excellent interpersonal skills,
• Anticipate guest’s needs and respond with congenial hospitality
• Highly organized, ability to multi-task and work well within a team.
• Flexible working hours


Position 2: Sports & Leisure “Therapist” 

 

General purpose:

To operate and work in accordance with standards prescribed in the Spa Manual.To welcome guests to the Spa area and assist them prior to and after their treatments.

Main Duties

• Ensure all treatment rooms are fully set up before beginning a treatment according to standards and procedures.
• Communicate through appropriate guest cards any guest related matters, products or equipment needs, technical service requests, etc.
• Assist in keeping accurate written records of treatments and products used in view of repeat guests.
• To replenish all necessary items in male/female spa promptly according to standards and procedures.
• To encourage and assist colleagues to create a positive team environment.
• Perform professional services according to standards with attention to detail and in a prompt timely manner.
• Advise guests of spa service programs, treatments and products available at the spa.
• Assist in promoting spa & body care products to guests and offer full product knowledge.
• To ensure the cleanliness of the spa and all treatment rooms.
• To ensure all equipment is well maintained and in safe condition.
• To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag and follow good hygiene habits at all times
• To maintain a complete knowledge of pricing, fees and charges
• To have a complete understanding and adhere to the Hotel colleagues’ rules and regulations, fire and safety policy, health and hygiene
• To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned to meet business demands and guest service needs

Requirements:

• 2 years’ service experience in a 5 star Hotel & Resort or Day Spa
• High school graduate
• Completed state required therapy anatomy and physiology course or internationally recognized therapy qualification
• Ability to communicate fluently in the primary language of the workplace both verbally and nonverbally
• Able to provide Hamam treatment, Facial treatment, massage and body treatment
• Excellent interpersonal skills,
• Anticipate guest’s needs and respond with congenial hospitality
• Highly organized, ability to multi-task and work well within a team.

Position 3: Sports & Leisure “Lifeguard”

 

General purpose:

The role of a Lifeguard is to be professional, well groomed, responsible and vigilant at all times when working in the Waterpark, pools and/or beaches by maintaining the 10/20 rule (10/3 rule where applicable).  This will ensure all water areas are never left unprotected during operational hours in order to maintain zero drowning by practicing preventative lifeguarding in accordance with Lifeguard Training Program

Main Duties

• To deliver the necessary skills such as water rescues, First Aid, and CPR when needed.  Skill levels must be audit ready at all times in order to exceed the highest standards of safety.
• To understand and follow all safety guidelines, Bilgah Beach Hotel Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Actions Plans in order to have in-depth knowledge of the operational requirements and protocol.
• To operate the rides and attractions in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures in conjunction with the manufacturers guidelines and recommended operational dispatch methods in order to ensure that all Guests are dispatched in the correct and safest way.

Customers Satisfaction
• To exude a friendly, helpful and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with our Guests and fellow Colleagues in orders to support the hotel Vision, Guiding Principles and Beach Waterpark Mission Statement.
• To completely satisfy each Guest by greeting, helping and protecting them while maintaining a professional appearance at all times and maintain overall cleanliness of the park in order to contribute to the success of the organization shown in the Customer Satisfaction Index results.

Team Work
• To provide professional lifeguarding services at aquatic facilities and exclusive use event when needed, and to assist in the preparations of facilities for special functions, themed evenings, etc. in order to contribute to the success of the organization.

Health, Safety & the Environment
• To clean all areas of the pools and walkways, both in the water and above the water, including all pool furniture and paths in order to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and safety.
• To report any safety concerns to management in order to maintain the highest standard of Guest safety at all times.
• To enforce facility rules and provide crowd control in a friendly manner throughout the aquatic areas as necessary in order to ensure the Guest’s safety and enjoyable experience.
• To maintain a clean environment by picking up garbage inside the park/beach/pools and back of the house, and throwing it in the proper garbage bins in order to provide sanitary surroundings for our Guests and Colleagues.
• Using any machinery, equipment or dangerous substance is used in accordance with training and instruction received;
• Co-operating with Management and following policies and procedure to promote a healthy and safe workplace;
• Take reasonable care of their own health & safety and those individuals around them.

Requirements:
