Position 1 : HSE Officer 

 

About the Role:

Environmental health and safety officer inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. Their chief goal is to protect the employees, customers and environment. They recommended changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs. Investigate accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in future.

Main Duties:

• HSE Officer is responsible and ensuring that each new employee, whether temporary or permanent, receives appropriate safety training at site, how to start and operate the equipment’s on a safe method (Laundry, kitchen, H.K, F & B, Engineering. etc.);

• Personal Protective Equipment – require assess the hazards of the work area to determine the type of protective equipment needed and to provide training on its use;

• Accident and Injury Reporting –HSE Officer Responsibility to report all accidents or injuries that occur to their employees while at work and ensure that any employee who is injured while at work completes and signs the Employee’s Report of Work-Related Injury Form. Additionally, he must receive the employee form, Accident Witness Statement Form (if the accident was witnessed by staff);

• Monthly fire & risk assessment for the building and registered an official report with action plan or rectifying if any require

• Control and insure all firefighting system and fire panel control with all devices are standby in good condition (recommendation to have Maintenance contract);

• Control and review the periodic check for the Fire extinguishers and CO2 cylinder are good condition without any defect and have a Location list for all units;

• Basis Fire Training & Evacuation plan, should be provide for all the Staff to be aware how to evacuate and take the appropriate action in case of fire;

• Collaborate with managers and staff to ensure divisional agendas and goals are being met;

• Gate pass to be issue for the contractor on site and the type of work to be presenting in advance to the Chief Engineer and Security manager and concerned Department;

• Reporting to the Chief Engineer / Security manager on the hazardous issues and action plan.

Position 2: Cashier/Paymaster 

Main Duties:
• To process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures;
• Setting hotel all-day cash payments;
• Hotel daily cash (cash settlement) report preparation;
• Keep reports of all transactions;
• Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Open every morning the Front Office safe depository, in the presence of a designated Finance employee and Front Office Manager / Night Manager and collect the deposit envelopes, which are checked against the deposit sheet
• Check each item in the envelope against the enclosed list and any differences should be listed in the over / short column provided on the deposited sheet
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Report immediately any envelope missing to the Director of Finance / Financial Controller
• Report immediately any discrepancies to the Income Auditor and Director of Finance / Financial Controller

• Verify overtime requisitions with time sheets, forward the same for approvals, distribute copy and process approved overtime requisitions in the payroll system
• Calculate final settlement of employee leaving the employment, forward the final separation forms approval to the Accounts Payable upon approval
• Coordinate with the Human Resources Department on the opening of bank accounts for new employees. Update, run close day operation, print and file daily time sheets

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance;
• 1 years minimum related experience working within the hospitality industry
• Proficiency in English and Azerbaijani, additional knowledge of Russian is preferred;
• Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
• Attention to detail
• Innovative, pro-active and reliable.
• Able to work alone and within a team.
• Organizational skills required.
• Proficient computer skills
