Billing Accountant
Key requirements:
• University Degree in Finance/Accounting or similar field
• Work experience for at least 1 year preferably in invoice billing sphere
• Fluent in Azerbaijani, English and Russian preferred
• MS Office (especially Excel) skills
• Very good organization and time management skills
• Ability to cope with time and workload pressure
Key accountabilities:
• Prepare, edit, and adjust all invoices using in-house systems
• Distribute and/or forward invoices to clients in scanned/hard copy version as appropriate.
• Properly and correctly indicate VAT/WHT/other tax on the invoices and assist chief accountant in periodic tax calculations
• Maintain a portfolio of customers and ensure that clients are billed timely and accurately
• Work with and collaborate with other team members such as sales, doctors/HR and other teams to ensure timely resolution of customer enquiries.
• Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues.
• Prepare monthly client/revenue statement and submit for supervisor’s/finance managers approval.
• Send statements to all clients periodically and make necessary follow up to make sure that invoices are paid on time and to decrease percentage of invoices outstanding for more than 60 days.
• Make sure that no confidential information (such as diagnosis for patients) is revealed by any means
• Fully comply with and enforce credit control, safety and other internal policies and procedures
• Assist with the periodic audits.
