Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures;
- Ensure regularity and compliance of reporting to the state bodies (tax, social insurance, statistics, etc.);
- Ensure that accounting policy and procedures are fully documented, – reviewed by the Senior Management on a periodic basis and updated where necessary;
- Ensure that books of accounts are kept up-to-date and that accounting transactions are properly checked and reviewed to ensure accuracy of records;
- Ensure that accounting transactions are recorded according to the company’s accounting policies and practices;
- Ensure that periodic and annual closing of accounts (provisions, accruals, prepayments etc.) are complete, accurate, based on adequate supporting documentation and performed on a timely manner;
- Review and check daily/monthly/quarterly cash and bank reports;
- Calculate and proceed with payroll data upon approval by the Senior Management;
- Liaise with the auditors, both internal and external ensuring that the audit is carried out efficiently and corrective actions are taken immediately;
- Interact with external contacts (local consultants, governmental authorities, banks, etc );
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports;
- Ensure that payment orders and other documents to be signed by the Senior Management are properly supported and checked;
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting as per local and international frameworks;
- Be aware of any changes in legal environment and local tax regulation applicable to the Company;
- Prepare and timely distribute any required ad-hoc repots;
- Prepare and submit quarterly / annual budgets for the review by Senior Management;
- Adhere to internal and external deadlines;
- Report, analyze, and ensure integrity of all financial information;
A Perform any other accounting / finance related function as advised by the Chief Financial Officer / General Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in fincance, accounting or economics
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS ofiice programs, especially Excel ( Oracle is desirable )
- Proficiency (written and oral fluency) in Azerbaijani and English ( Russian is desirable )
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Good knowledge and experience in statutory and international financial reporting.
- Good knowledge Tax Legislation and İFRS
