We are looking for a “Chief Accountant” with below requirements:
Key Responsibilities:

• The Chief Accountant of Socar Cape is responsible for all areas relating to statutory financial and tax reporting.
• Responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Responsible for statutory and tax reporting deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting.
• Responsible for the yearend audit preparation
• Financial Accounting on 1C
• Control & analysis of all financial ledgers, including sales, purchase, general and cashbooks
• Production of Draft P&L Account, Balance Sheet
• Year End Accounts Preparation & delivery
• Fixed Assets & Depreciation
• Month and postings and Reconciliation work on 1C
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for Salary and TAX
• Reconciliation of the monthly revenue and costs
• Reconcile VAT accounts on the system
• Reconciliation and posting of the Salary journals
• Reconciliation and posting of the Stock issued
• Reconciliation and posting of the Fixed Assets
• Reconciliation and posting of the Intercompany
• Statutory Compliance work
• Preparation and submission tax returns for the company
• Preparation and submission statistics return for the company
• Managing the inquiries and query between the tax inspectors and the company
• Minimize the tax risks for the company
• Monthly management review report of the company tax position
• Arrange annual support of the Assets and Liabilities of the Company incl:
• Equipment stock take
• Consumables stock tale
• Debtors and Creditors Statement reconciliation
• Tax liability supported with the reports submitted and reconciled to the balance sheet
• Dealing with the tax related query internally
• Provide the tax related advice to the internal users
• Review of the payroll files
• Payroll Approval
• Expenses Approval
• Petty cash – Petty cash reconciliation and balance verification

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role.
• Suitable Diploma or degree
• Good knowledge of English
• Good computer skills
