Job Purpose: 

The head of the department will lead the IT and IS operations and strategy covering group of companies (6 business units including food production and distribution). This role is responsible for overall managing the IT department, balancing the activities of Azure cloud and on-premises data centers located in the regions of Azerbaijan, properly organizing, updating and implementing the work of existing information systems (ERP, salesforce, procurement flow), as well as managing technology budgets and meeting the company’s strategic goals by providing appropriate technological solutions.

Main Duties: 

• To develop and implement an IT strategy for the FMCG portfolio that is consistent with the corporate business agenda.
• Oversee operations of existing systems, network as well as helpdesk and ERP teams.
• Develop and monitor IT systems in regional plants, warehouses, ensuring the stability of existing systems.
• Ensure proper development, deployment and maintenance of the corporate technical infrastructure, applications and systems, including Azure cloud platform, Linux\Unix systems and on-premises data centers.
• Ensure reliability and security of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Monitor cloud cost management.
• Ensure successful implementation of 1C ERP projects in regional Business Units.
• Monitor and manage IT&S projects and processes applicable in the food industry.
• Oversee operations of Salesforce systems and the implementation of the new version of the Micro ERP program applicable in the distribution company.
• Provide input in IT architecture development and management.
• Lead, mentor and develop the IT team and create a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Set departmental goals, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
• Prepare and manage budget, ensure effective investments in technology.
• Optimize resource allocation between operational needs and strategic initiatives.
• Implement cyber security measures and controls to protect the company’s information and IT assets.
• Develop and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Integrate IT into strategic decision-making processes in collaboration with leadership team.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Research and apply new technologies and methodologies to improve business operations.
• Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business. Administration or related field. Additional degree (MBA or Masters in IT) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, at least 5 years in a senior management position.
• Strong experience in Azure cloud platform and on-premises data center management.
• Proven experience in managing and implementing ERP systems (1C ERP, Salesforce, Micro ERP Etc.).

Skills and Qualifications:  

• Azure cloud, System, Network, hardware automation and programming, SQL knowledge.
• In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure and technologies.
• Strong Leadership, Communications and Negotiations skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
