Job Title: Inventory Management Team Leader
Location: Azerbaijan, Onshore
A vacancy has arisen for an Inventory Management Team Leader as part of the Onshore Business Unit and is available for Azerbaijani citizens only.
This role will be part of the Supply Chain Team, within the Procurement Department, reporting to the Country Supply Manager.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all Inventory and Materials related issues are dealt with on a timely manner. Within transition from one ERP system to another, to ensure that data is properly cleansed and matched one to one from one system to another.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Make a significant contribution to the Supply Chain annual business plan by delivering the associated business plan, targeting improvements in service to operations, overall cost reduction, optimum quality and risk management.
• Lead the process of input and update in cataloguing according to the Coding matrix and other related tables and rules, to ensure the creation and maintenance of high-quality technical data records that can be used for Purchasing and Operational Maintenance activities.
• Review technical and QA/QC aspects of existing catalogue database (certification, data book etc. requirements) in order to maintain consistent and verified data.
• Monitor existing catalogue database (Materials, Equipment, Manufacturers, Vendors, etc.) in order to maintain consistent and verified data, which helps End Users for the Supply Chain processes to run smoothly.
• Supervise all coding work and ensure it is actioned in a timely manner and to an excellent standard.
• Promote effective communication with operations and maintenance leadership to promote supply chain standards and procedures to ensure good inventory and materials management practices are cascaded down to rig management level.
• Promote effective communication with finance to ensure reporting is aligned and agreed protocols exist for all related activities.
• Establish, communicate and implement standard processes for inventory and materials management.
• Support the Business Process Owner for SAP. Co-ordinate improvements to the processes and resolution of identified issues where these relate specifically to Company.
• Maintain awareness of supply chain best practice and inventory management techniques and act as the local functional expert in these matters.
• Regularly review the capabilities of the personnel with Inventory Management Team, establish training and coaching programs as required.
• As part of the supply chain team, contribute to the overall direction of the supply chain function through close cooperation with the head of corporate function, where appropriate, promoting good communication and service to the operations teams.
• Deliver allocated targets from the global supply chain annual business plan.
• Assist the supply chain leadership to deliver the allocated targets in the annual business plan.
• Seek assistance from the supply chain leadership to deliver improvements in the monthly KPI reporting.
• Make a significant contribution to the creation of supply chain procedures (inventory management related) and their ongoing revision to reflect changes in business practice.
• Meet the required Company policies including requirements for ISO Standards.
Key Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, inventory and materials management, economics, project management or related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory position in the management of inventory, materials, and/or project management within an Oil and Gas or large process industry (petrochemical, pharmaceutical, utilities, CPG or food).
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, highly analytical and creative.
• A persistent attention to details and ability to maintain a focus on simplicity while dealing with complex challenges.
• Well organized, proactive and a good communicator, enthusiastic and hard working.
• Strong Commitment to safe working practices, policies and legislation.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English languages (both verbal and written).
• SAP Skills are desirable.
• Experience within an equivalent role is advantageous.
