Job summary:

The position is expected to deliver technical support and assurance for electrical hardware and software systems, work across the entire field of electrical engineering. The Junior Electrical Engineer will assist in ensuring safe, reliable operation and remove or mitigate risk within their area of responsibility.

Job duties:

• Report to the Discipline Engineers Team Lead and Electrical Engineer and work under their overall supervision and directions.
• Assist with troubleshooting and operational support for high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems packages and all other SP electrical equipment.
• Assist with electrical hazard and reliability analysis
• Perform roles as required in the local SP electrical authorisation scheme as defined in the applicable HSE procedure
• Technical Review/ Approve MOCs as required
• Provide technical support to the site maintenance functions, including in spares selection as requested
• Participate in the condition monitoring programs for electrical equipment as defined in the maintenance strategies
• Other duties requested by Line Manager

• Knowledge of electrical programs and their integration into SAP PM;
• Ability to work as part of a team when interfacing with various disciplines (i.e. Instrumentation and control, process, mechanical and reliability etc.);
• Preferable Familiar with International and Local standards, best practices, and value practices

Experience:

• Minimum 0-3 years of applicable and preferable experience working on rotating, package equipment, material handling equipment for process plant project (Refinery / Chemical / Petrochemical / Power / Oil & Gas)
• Understanding in preparing work scopes, MOC (manage of chances) and budgets, and ensure that scopes and budgets are met

Language skills:

• Advanced knowledge of written & oral English and Azerbaijani
• Knowledge of Russian is an asset

Technical skills:

• Understanding in Electrical power generation, transmission and distribution.
• Understanding in Protection systems
• Understanding in Large electric drive systems.
• Understanding in Electrical system analysis tools.

Equipment skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications & AutoCAD
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
