Title: Maintenance Planning Team Leader

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading maintenance and scheduling planning group to effectively create and maintain an efficient schedule that meet customer requirements while minimizing cycle times and effectively utilizing inventory. Optimization of Production plan by balancing business needs with the capabilities of the plant. Development of department budget and schedule for implementing business operations. Implementation of changes in workflow and work scope to meet business expectations. Performance of regular operations reviews to identify any issues/inconsistencies between cross functional departments..
JOB DUTIES
• Lead the planners and Schedulers in the function within the organization ensuring best in class processes and procedures are implemented
• Develop and manage a team of schedulers to deliver complex short term and long-term schedules as per the operations targets
• Manage operations, engineering and support functions meetings ensuring scheduling issues are managed appropriately
• Develop processes, reports and prepare critical path schedule; identify risks and slippage, provide timely updates to stakeholders
• Serve as the technical advisor and subject matter expert:
• Integrated Planning Procedure preparation
• Preparation of WO Procedure
• Develop Master Outage Strategy and Schedule
• Interface SAP with MSP / Primavera
• Assist to Line manager & company within extra task if required
REQUIREMENTS
Functional
• To review notifications raised (for qualitative filling out)
• Create all types of maintenance orders
• Plan labor and materials required to execute the orders
• Maintenance orders management & to make sure that all types of orders are closed in time
• Communicate work planning package information to maintenance supervisors
• Review work orders feedback information to improve future planning efforts
• Facilitate validation meetings
• Tracking material/spare parts/consumables delivery
• Create and maintain preventive/predictive maintenance (ppm) tasks/orders via sap to be used in the scheduling process.
• Communicate with maintenance, operations on frequent basis
• Recording performed activities
• Requesting and delivering materials thru work orders
• Tracking work history
• Tracking equipment performance via orders
• Tracking maintenance costs
• Prepares job plans for scheduling, detailing parts, materials, special tools, external services and documentation with planned costs
Behavioral
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles
• Knowledge of Production and Purchasing functions in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Strong understanding of entire flow of production/manufacturing process and related functions
• Strong knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles
• Knowledge of Primavera scheduling tool system
• Knowledge of SAP Production Planning
• Knowledge of SAP Maintenance Planning
• Knowledge of various reporting system
• Creating effective working relationships within other departments
Education and experience
• At least 3 years of experience in the planning profession (production, maintenance planning and scheduling activities)
• APICS CPIM Training & Exam
• Operations Management
• Experience with analysis of KPI’s, trend analysis and other performance metrics
