Position Title: Principal Specialist IM – Data Manager – Oracle Developer

Job Description:

The Principal Specialist IM – SQL Developer to join our Information management team to lead the development of the database technology stack. Responsible for developing and tuning SQL database solution and day to day running of the database and will be influential in changes to the database structure and processes to provide optimum performance and integration with other applications.

Ensures data is consistently, accurately and globally entered and extracted for use by the project team and administers the data repositories where the project engineering and supplier data is stored and maintained. This involves receiving or performing the data transfers, monitor changes to ensure effective handover of a complete, accurate dataset to the Client for the operational phase.
Responsible for establishing, operating and managing the asset tag data repository and interfaces between engineering systems for sharing data.

Experience, Education, Skills & Job Knowledge:

• PL/SQL – write Packages/procedures/functions – extend existing modules and write new ones.
• Ability to understand existing complex code and architecture and then maintenance and make changes to it.
• Be able to deal with large volumes of data.
• Ability to optimise stored procedures and query performance.
• Tuning ability.
• Have the ability to design data structures and application code.
• Maintain batch processes.
• A good understanding of ETL frameworks and processes.
• At least over 10 years of experience working in PL/SQL (not overall experience)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
