Currently we are looking for Senior Consultant (Tax Reporting) for Tax & Legal Services

The role

The successful candidate will:

● Ensuring proper GL accounting and month-end closing entries and complying with relevant IFRS standards;
● Ensuring proper expense and revenue accruals and provisions in the books;
● Reviewing and checking all documents submitted for prepayment, ensuring proper accounting and following up with final invoices and allocation of prepayments;
● Ensuring proper Fixed Asset accounting;
● Acting as a back-up for AR accountant when needed;
● Supporting Finance Controller/Manager with month-end closure activities;
● Preparing balance sheet reconciliations;
● Taking the lead during internal and external audits of standalone and consolidated financials;

What we are looking for

● Proven experience as an Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountant;
● Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures;
● In-depth understanding of IFRS;
● Familiarity with financial statement;
● Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
● Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (Oracle and MS Nav is an advantage);
● Advanced MS Excel skills ;
● Accuracy and attention to detail;
● Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills;
● BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant;
● Relevant certification (ACCA or CIMA) will be preferred;
● Good understanding of local tax legislation;
● Oil & GAS experience is an advantage;
