- As Senior IT Specialist, you will be responsible for: Managing and monitoring all computer hardware and making sure systems are installed properly and working efficiently
- Maintaining uncompromising data and physical security standards
- Ensuring that all computer media saves, and back-ups are completed, documented and stored per specifications
- Administering all user IDs, passwords, and the most sensitive system utilities, secure all touchy resources and critical libraries under the supervision of the IT Manager
- Managing the configuration reports, program files and data files on the computer system(s) to ensure maximum operating efficiency
- Installing and testing corporate approved program changes to the hotel computer system(s)
- Providing recommendation and driving results to ensure the hotel has the appropriate technology roadmap to meet short-term and long-terms needs
- Keeping up to date with all approved systems and technology systems.
- IT Specialist enforces IHG technology policies and standards, ensures IT systems are compliant with IHG policies in support of local laws, regulations and industry requirements (e.g.PCIDSS, PII and Data Protection), maintains an expert understanding of the property’s business needs, methodologies, strategies, and upcoming projects.

- This role requires a highly organized individual who is energetic, self-motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative and the ability to multi-task, deal with a lot of pressure and demands whilst remaining calm and working effectively is essential. Ideally, you’ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we’re looking for:
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Computer Science or IT or related field
- At least 2 years related experience with computer set-up and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of hotel systems and software (Opera PMS, Micros preferably)
- Working knowledge of networks and operating systems and databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective presentation, communication, consulting, and interpersonal/consensus-building skills for the purpose of providing information to management and colleagues
- A team player, proactive, responsible, hardworking and able to work under pressure
- High written and oral communication skills in Azerbaijani language, English and Russian will be an asset.
