Position summary:

This position is responsible for purchasing materials/services related to construction activities, and conducting all relevant procurement activities

Principal responbilities:

  • Acting as per company procurement procedures
  • Preparation of bid/tender related documents (bid strategy, RFQ/RFP document package).
  • Making a market search and selecting bidders for requested service.
  • Issuing biddings (RFQ), tenders (RFP) for procurement requests
  • Holding meetings with bidders, explaining the RFQ/RFP terms, and coordinating the technical issues between the engineering or technical team and the bidder.
  • Evaluation bidding/tender results
  • Coordinating evaluation with technical team
  • Preparation tabulation/comparison forms for biddings/tenders
  • Issuing Purchase Orders in SAP system, after approval of bidding/tender results
  • Following up the approval of paperwork
  • Tracing the performance of Contractor on site, regularly reviewing progress reports
  • Preparing notices, letters to contractors where needed
  • Studying claims, change/variation orders submitted by vendors/contractor during the post-award stage
  • After evaluating the change/variation orders preparing justification documents for such change/variation to the contract.
  • Passing though signature process such change/variation orders
  • Carrying out the close out works for each Purchase order/Contract.
  • Other duties requested by Line Manager
  • Hold meetings with end users weekly meeting and explain them the progress of each work
  • Update regular procurements reports

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of procurement specialist and/or contract administration experience is must
  • Working experience with construction contract is highly desirable
  • Working skill in SAP is desirable

  • Knowledge of English language is desirable
  • Being fluent in Azerbaijan language is required

  • Good negotiation skills
