Vacancy 1: Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer within RDS
A vacancy has arisen for a Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer position within RDS as part of the onshore Business Unit. The Lead E&I Engineer will report to the Engineering Team Leader and is responsible for provision of the Electrical & Instrumentation engineering service for the allocated Engineering Office or Project(s). Lead E&I Engineer is the focal point for the engineering activities of the discipline.
Skills and Experience:
• Supervision of discipline personnel under the Lead Engineer’s control, and for the technical content and quality of work produced by these discipline personnel.
• Knowledge of BP Engineering Technical Practice (ETP) and Guidance on Industry Standard (GIS).
• Development of Instrumentation and Electrical design schemes.
• Participation in Kick Off Meeting, Design Reviews, HAZOP and risk management review.
• Responsible for planning, design, execution and management of the E&I engineering activities
• Requisition of electrical equipment (HV/MV/LV) including Technical Bid Evaluations, Bid Clarification and FAT.
• Direction of Lead Discipline Designer and day to day liaison to ensure coordination between engineering and design personnel.
• Identification of scope of work required to undertake a project / job. Estimation of deliverables, manpower and time required to execute the scope of work.
• Input to project plans and schedules.
• Early identification to Engineering team Lead & Project Engineer of areas of concern during the course of any project or study with necessary corrective action identified.
• Production of cost effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both KCA DEUTAG and the Client. Motivation of discipline personnel to do similarly.
• Ensuring operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design. Seeking input from operations and maintenance personnel and, if beneficial, carrying out presentations to site personnel of changes to their installation.
• Surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of work scopes.
• Monitoring progress of work under the Lead Engineer’s control and achieving completion within the agreed schedule and budget. Reporting progress as per KCA DEUTAG systems and procedures.
• Forward planning of resources and timely identification of changes to resource requirements to the Engineering team Lead.
Requirements:
• Minimum of degree in Engineering Discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years electrical discipline experience in O&G industry including Greenfield and Brownfield, onshore and offshore projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Senior Electrical Engineer role.
• Minimum of experience in drilling facilities equipment package specification and management essential.
• Must have knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Excellent oral and written English.

Vacancy 2: Senior Project Engineer within RDS
Location: Azerbaijan
A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer position within RDS as part of the onshore Business Unit.
Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager or the Project and Project Services Team Leader, the Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the efficient running of drilling facilities Greenfield/Brownfield projects.
Skills and Experience:
• Provide technical input into any project proposal to a client and to support Project Delivery Manager in any required presentation to client in support of our tender submission.
• Deliver modifications that meet client requirements: cost, schedule, technical specification, quality assurance and HSE to the satisfaction of the Project Delivery Manager.
• Deliver modifications that meet RDS’s minimum requirements: technical integrity, operational efficiency, quality assurance, HSE and profitability to the satisfaction of the Project Delivery Manager.
• Support the Project Delivery Manager in developing a close relationship with Clients’ representatives in which decisions can be made from a position of mutual trust.
• Manage the project team in a considerate, highly supportive manner.
• Ensure that RDS is presented to client, contractors, vendors and public in a positive, helpful manner and in line with corporate strategy.
• Keep the RDS Project Delivery Manager and others routinely informed of job status and all developments that impact schedule, safety and reputation through regular reports.
• Strongly manage commercial and reputation risk issues.
• Ensure that all discipline leaders manage their scopes of work effectively and without exposure of RDS or Client.
• If Applicable, ensure that the Client and RDS operations management where appropriate are appraised of progress on the drilling facilities.
• Ensure that there is adequate operational and maintenance input into the job where necessary
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance within an agreed Management System and Procedures.
• Ensure RDS, through a designated focal point, hold latest copies of all RDS deliverables, schedules and MOM, except where such documentation is confidential to client.
• Ensure that all phases of a job are properly completed, closed out and accepted.
• Keep the Engineering Team Leader and Chief Discipline Engineers continuously informed of forward manning requirements to satisfy contract and project needs.
Requirements:
• Excellent English skills.
• Experience of 10+ years in Project E&I Engineering.
• Experience of 5+ years in Supervisory role.
• Expert in Microsoft Project Planning.
• Expert in Primavera.
