1. School Nurse

Job Purpose:

Ensuring that proper first aid procedures are strictly applied in case of emergencies involving students and/or staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting and documenting a comprehensive health and hygiene program at the school.
• Introducing a personal hygiene program aimed at raising awareness among students about the importance of personal hygiene.
• Developing a systematic, periodic, well-documented, and proactive health inspection program aimed at reducing the chances of the birth or the spread of epidemics among the students and the staff.
• Maintaining up-to-date records of students’ health.
• Following up on student health/injury related absences.
• Informing parents about any potential health/injury related incidents regarding their children.
• Preparing the school clinic to deal with mild injuries and moderate illness cases of students and staff
• Standardizing the current work processes and procedures in the school’s clinic in such a way to insure that a consistent premium quality health service is delivered at all times.
• Encouraging and developing a caring environment that allows young students to feel safe and well taken care of.
• Delivering accurate, reliable, and timely health related reports to management as, and when, requested.
• Recommending to management safety measures aimed at preventing injury or incidental harm to students and/ or staff.
• Ensuring that the cafeteria staff maintain a clean bill of health in accordance with Ministry of Health regulations and requirements.
• Developing and displaying health and safety tips as well as and articles aimed at increasing awareness among students and staff on health-related issues.
• Facilitating clear communication between parents and the school regarding any special medical attention children may need during school hours.

Ideal Requirements:

• Bachelor in Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Eligibility to obtain school nurse license from the local government authorities
• English proficiency and communication skills
• Ability to make quick responsible decisions
• Ability to handle medical emergency situations in the school.
• Conscientiousness with a sense of responsibility

Must meet all employment requirements including, but not limited to, country and local education and certification requirements, reference checks, and criminal background checks.

2. Art Teacher

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: 3+ years

Job Purpose:

Enabling the success of students and helping in academic achievement to reach their potential through the implementation of the SABIS® curriculum and philosophy and through the consistent use of the SABIS® teaching methodology

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching using the provided lesson plans (may also be asked to develop such plans based on provided pacing charts as relevant and needed) for their subject(s) in order to be able to teach using the SABIS® point system.
• Marking of exams related to their subject matter in accordance with the schedule and material provided by the department.
• Discussing disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and head of department (HOD) as needed.
• Implementing the SABIS® point system to ensure an environment conducive to learning in the classroom.
• Providing support by invigilating exams as needed in an adequate and properly managed exam environment.
• Providing support for the academically low performing students, to help improve and get motivated to reach their potential.
• Develop and/or follow external exams preparation by going through past papers as planned in the structured revision schedule ( When applicable to specific grade).
• Aiding in duties that may include testing children, substituting for absent teachers , organizing children for lunches and buses, controlling traffic (vehicles and people), and other administrative duties that may be assigned to him/her by the school SABIS® management.
• Preparing and participating in activity plans for all such student life related events such as but not limited to art, open house and physical education in coordination with the student life coordinator.
• Attending training sessions when needed and as per the request of school management in order to enhance their understanding of the SABIS® system improving their performance
• Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the school SABIS® management.

Ideal Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent
• English Proficient / Native English Speaker (depending on subject)
• MS Office needed components
• Communication Skills
• Ability to work within a team

 


3. History/Geography Teacher

Job Type: Full-Time
