Job Summary
– We are looking for a Junior Machine Learning Specialist to help us create artificial intelligence products.
– This is ideal for someone who has recently moved into the data science space and understands the basics. Someone who is excited to learn more and grow as an individual, within a team of experts.
– Junior Machine Learning Specialist’s responsibilities include creating machine learning models. To do this job successfully, you need exceptional skills in mathematics and statistics.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Design machine learning systems
• Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools
• Develop machine learning applications according to requirements
• Run machine learning tests and experiments
• Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
• Train and retrain systems when necessary
• Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
• Keep chasing the developments in the field
All responsibilities will be fulfilled under the supervision and with support of a mentor/manager.
Qualifications required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar field
• Previous experience is a benefit, but not required
• Deep knowledge of mathematics, algorithms, probability and statistics
• Experience with algorithms in an academic or commercial environment is a benefit
• Understanding of data structures and data modeling
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL
• Ability to write well designed, testable, efficient code and develop prototypes in one or more of these languages: Python, Java, R is preferred, but not required
• General familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn) is preferred, but not required
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and Russian language and good working knowledge of English language
