Three new vacancies at “North West Construction”

1. Production Technologist

Responsibilities:

• Advise the buying teams and suppliers on technical detail to ensure new products and packaging are commercially viable.
• Optimization of costs for the project, preparation of acts of rejection.
• Develop supplier relationships to ensure consistency across supply base for quality, finish, sizing and safety.
• Ensure that suppliers have Technical and Ethical audits as required, agreeing action plans with vendors to drive improvements at factory level.
• Input into weekly critical path meetings to ensure that all technical deadlines are met for new and updated lines.
• To control the consumption of materials.
• Checking the quality of materials.
• The calculation of labor.

Requirements:

• Experience in individual projects in furniture production
• Knowledge of the technology of assembly work (assembly, installation) of furniture, interior elements.
• Experience in this field at least 3 years.
• A confident PC user.


2. Workshop Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage shop team, parts operations and scheduling.
• Prioritize the repair of equipment that is scheduled to go on-hire or is routinely in high demand.
• Perform equipment inspections, adjustments and maintenance.
• Control costs, identifying cost savings and instigating changes to improve work output.
• Responsible for meeting deadlines and production targets, ensuring quality of products/furniture meets customer expectations.
• Day-to-day management of staff engaged in furniture/product manufacture in the workshop.

Requirements:

• Experience of maintaining relevant equipment in a workshop environment
• Experience in this field at least 3 years.
• Good communication skills.
• Fully familiar with all types of wood fabrication

3. Planning Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain detailed engineering and construction schedules;
• Partner with project personnel to establish the plan and document the scope, develop project schedules;
• Maintain liaison with management regarding project planning by conducting analyses and preparing reports;
• Monitor hours and costs to determine trends and to assist in forecasting;
• Ensure the maintenance of all essential documentation;
• Participates in the development of timetables and schedules for projects;
• Coordinates the review of estimated design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparations, and other related costs;
• Prepare project budgets, schedules and coordinates resources and tasks to complete projects on approved budget;
• Coordinates projects with all affected parties to ensure projects are completed on schedule

Requirements:

• Work experience 3-4 years in planning and control
• Fluency in English
• Deep knowledge of Primavera
• Engineering degree
• AutoCAD knowledge
