Job title: Rope Access Technician (Level 1, 2 or 3)
Work location: Offshore
Experience: Minimum 2 years Rope access technician experience in the Oil and Gas industry
Knowledge: Fluent in Azerbaijani;
Certificates: IRATA (Level 1, 2 or 3) certificate is essential, Painting or Blasting certificates, BOSIET certificate is desirable
Duties:
Rope Access Technician carries out the rope access techniques in order to gain access to the work areas, in a safe manner using a mix of rope access skills.
Rope access technician is to work as part of team and required to carry out the rope access tasks as assigned
As part of the team, the Rope access technician is expected to do a pre-use safety check on the rope access equipment to ensure personal safety at all times
It is a mandatory requirement that Rope access technician is capable of using rope access techniques in a safe manner to be in a position to carry out the primary role
Actively participate in Task Based Risk Assessments to identify additional risks or hazards involved in the work scope prior to work commencing.
Ensuring correct valid work permits and associated paper work are in place prior to work commencing.
Attend daily tool box talks, understand what the work scope involves, and discuss any changes to the work or worksite.
Ensure all plant & equipment has been fully safety checked and function tested prior to use.
Carry out daily safety checklist on the worksite and stop work if any aspect is unsatisfactory
Performs other duties relevant to competency level
