Report to: CEO
Main duties:
- Define business plan and retail services by working with management of various business units, as Finance, Buying, Marketing, Operations, Visual Merchandising, HR, Supply Chain, ERP, etc.
- Develop retail vision, strategy and plan to drive top-line growth and bottom-line profitability for a portfolio of more than 18 stores.
- Identify new market opportunities, and implement effective retail strategies to captivate customers and boost sales.
- Determine brand/product feature together with each Brand Partner and translate into market requirements in coordination with marketing and VM teams.
- Define key product positioning attributes and translate in sales, go-to-market and communications tools by working with marketing team.
- Develop pricing models, policies and rate sheets for each brand together with Brand partners, finance and marketing team.
- Development of each new launch and opening, including head count, buying projections, pricing policy, etc.
- Build and lead high-performing teams by recruiting, training, and mentoring retail staff.
- Inspire a culture of excellence, fostering a customer-centric mindset, and instilling a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and innovative retail practices, and assess their potential impact on the business.
- Continuously adapt and evolve retail strategies to meet changing customer expectations and industry dynamics.
- Driving the transformation of retail operations in an ever-evolving market.
- Manage store operations to ensure customer satisfaction and company objectives are met.
- Analyze market trends to make informed decisions regarding product selection, pricing, and advertising.
- Collaborate with other executives to set company goals and develop policies and procedures.
- Provide direction and leadership to retail staff to ensure consistent performance and high- quality customer service
- Manage inventory levels to ensure products are stocked and available for customers
- Set and monitor budgets to ensure expenses are managed effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of retail management, marketing and sales principles.
- Successful experience working in a multi-unit management structure, with a proven record of accomplishment of success as Retail Director.
- Proven record of extremely high level of retail standards and execution.
- Proven record of strong financial performance and demonstrated financial acumen.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of the market and consumer insights and trends.
- An analytical mind with strategic ability.
