  • Anticipate and efficiently resolve complex tax issues for local and multinational clients and work with very limited supervision;
  • Lead key Tax Advisory projects;
  • Assist PwC Clients during appeals of the tax authorities’ decisions in the higher tax authority, as well in court.
  • Develop and maintain successful client relationships, as well as generate new business from existing clients;
  • Take the opportunity to promote & offer to clients the services of the firm;
  • Ensure compliance of activities with technical and risk management requirements;
  • Keep abreast of relevant changes in legislation, decrees, and practices of tax authorities;
  • Active participation in meetings, public speaking, and presentations.
  • University degree in Law, Economics, Accounting or Finance;
  • Being a Member of the Azerbaijani Bar Association would be an asset;
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Tax Consulting (Big4 or Law Firm experience as an advantage);
  • Fluent in Azerbaijani and English (Russian or any other languages would be an advantage);
  • Extensive expertise in local and international tax/trade/customs/commercial laws;
  • Extensive knowledge of DTT, OECD Commentaries on Model Tax Convention, and OECD Transfer Pricing guidelines;
  • Proven leadership skills and excellent organizational skills;
  • Strong client service mindset and a proven track record of establishing and building strong business relationships;
  • Ability to be agile in changing circumstances both internally and externally when dealing with client issues and business needs.
