IT Manager – Intercontinental Hotel Baku

We are pleased to announce that we are looking for IT MANAGER CANDIDATES who will work with us in our new opening Intercontinental Hotel Baku

General Scope of Duty : To ensure that all computer systems at Intercontinental Hotel Baku work in a seamless and uninterrupted manner.


• Education: Bachelor degree
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or 2 years work experience in a lower position and experience with applying the main principles and/or different methods.
• Foreign Language: High Level English.
• Courses and Training: Sufficient theoretical and practical background and attendance in courses and seminars in the related field.
• Computer Literacy: Professional level computer and network knowledge.
• Skills: Expected to have detailed and comprehensive knowledge of systems/legislation in the related field. Expected to offer consulting to other employees when needed. Some roles require practical knowledge of Pre-Opening, systems/programmes/software in the related field. Responsible for carrying out and coordinating complex activities in different fields.


2.1 All Pre-Opening / Opening listing (Hardware, Software and other equipment) needs to be prepared as the company (IHG ) standards.
2.2 Ensure that all computer systems within the hotel operate in a seamless and uninterrupted manner. Responsible for implementing the Information Systems (IS) Operating Instructions and the operations of the department.
2.3 Solve the problems of computer users and ensure that the applications of the IS department are in line with operational standards.
2.4 Ensure that all IS operations are implemented in the best possible manner.
2.5 Is responsible for ensuring that all computer and network systems deliver uninterrupted services.
2.6 Monitor actions on the local and Internet network and prevent loss of work and time.
2.7 Deliver the necessary training to users on the communication system. Inform users on periodic basis by sending prompts about how to use the system correctly.

2.8 Closely monitor technology and continuously liaise with the Intercontinental Hotel IS Department to ensure that the system is up-to-date.
2.9 Ensure the maintenance and backing-up of all computers at the facility and keep their records.
2.10 Ensure that any breakdown reported for a computer, printer or the network distribution system is immediately responded to.
2.11 Ensure that the local network is protected against internal and external factors and ensure the security of the system.
2.12 To predict that all activities and to be purchased all equipment and belongings may create disease for the environment, to join all activities which is organized to protect biological diversity and shares the responsibilities, shares the individual responsibilities in order to increase environment knowledge and to carry on necessary trainings. To provide minimum consumption currently used all stuffs and equipment (paper, printed out etc.).
2.13 To implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings in order to save energy inside the facility. To carry on implementing decisions which were taken for saving energy. To predict effects of environment and efficiency of energy on purchased equipment.
2.14 To implement his responsibilities in order to eliminate and collect waste in a proper way, reduce environmental pollution and harmful effects to the environment.
2.15 Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facilities.
2.16 Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description.
