Position 1: Senior Structural Engineer

Education/Certification/Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (civil/structural) from a recognised institute
• At least 10 years’ experience within the Civil/Structural space; specifically working on projects within the oil and gas sector
• Demonstrable knowledge of civil/structural engineering design, documentation, design checking and investigation relating to civil structures
• Excellent written and communication skills and an ability to liase at all levels
• Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team

Areas of Responsibility/ Duties:

• Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
• Responsible for the production and review of engineering deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, specifications, evaluations, reports etc
• Provide technical support to construction teams onsite as well as the projects and estimating department
• Apply an understanding of relevant engineering legislation, codes and standards to projects


Position 2: Senior Process Safety Engineer

Education/Certification/Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Engineering with professional certification in process safety OR General Science Graduate with studies in Loss Prevention and professional Certification/License in process safety.
• 10+ year experience in the oil & petrochemical process safety industry.
Specific knowledge & business understanding:
• Expertise and proven record of conducting PHA studies including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA, etc.
• Knowledge of QRA & BRA techniques, preparation, and analysis.
• Expertise in fire and safety engineering standards such as HCIS-SAF, NFPA, API, IBC, etc.
• Expertise in applying root cause analysis in process related incident investigations.

Areas of Responsibility/ Duties:
• Lead and facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies such as HAZID, HAZOPs, LOPA, etc.
• Provides expert advice and assistance to design, construction and maintenance engineers and operating personnel on all matters pertaining to safety engineering.
• Lead Safety Department engineering reviews of fire & safety designs of mega projects. This includes; FEED stage reviews, detailed design reviews, 3D Model reviews, etc.
• Support in the preparation, reviews, and analysis of quantitative risk assessments, building risk assessments, and facility siting studies
• Participate in major and moderate incident investigations


Position 3: Piping Engineer

Essential qualifications and experience

• BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline
• Demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering
• Reasonable understanding of all Engineering disciplines
• Understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
• Competent in the use of MS Office applications
• Exposure to People Management
• Excellent written and spoken English

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of, and compliance with, client, industry and international specifications and standards.
• Identification of scope of work required to undertake a project / job.
• Input to project plans and schedules.
• Production of cost effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both NIPI and the Client.
• Ensuring operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design.  Seeking input from operations and maintenance personnel.
• Surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of work scopes.
• Monitoring progress of work and achieving completion within the agreed schedule.
• Production of documents and engineering design deliverables.
• Review of Supplier / Vendor documents.
• Produce requisition for purchase of engineered items and services.
• Identification of increase or reduction in scope of work.
• Representation of NIPI with Clients, Suppliers / Vendors in a professional manner.
• Remain up to date with technical developments, client, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the position.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Industry Codes and Standards, HSE Alerts, Statutory Instruments, Client and NIPI Specifications and Legislative Requirements and establishing order of precedence on a project-by-project basis.
• Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner.
• Performance of discipline engineering tasks and activities, in accordance with Company QA, HS & E policies.
• Demonstration of safe approach in design and working practices, following the objectives of the Office and project specific Health, Safety and Environmental Plans.
• Encouragement of attention to safety.
• Adherence to the company integrated management system.
• Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies.
• Ensure unsafe activities are challenged.
• Adherence to the requirements of best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties.

Position 4: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Education/Certification/Experience:

• BSc, BEng or B. Tech or National Diploma with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
• Minimum of 10 to 15  years Mechanical design experience in the oil and gas  area in the design office and the field
• Site experience
• Materials Handling Experience
• Mechanical Package Experience
• Lead Mechanical engineer experience
• Excellent English Communication & Report Writing Skills

Areas of Responsibility/ Duties:

• Prepare technical specifications, contract specifications, calculations, reports, design criteria and other documents required by the project / study
• Responsible for engineering content,  discipline design drawings and technical documents within a project / study
• Produce  designs  in  accordance  with  project,  discipline,  statutory  regulations,  good  practice  and company procedural requirements
• Produce project filing system which is maintained, kept up to date in a discipline or project system which all project design personnel utilise
• Ensure design is completed within design man-hour and procurement budgets
• Ensure designs produced are optimal in terms of maintainability, serviceability, equipment operating cost and safe operation
• Ensure design engineering standards are maintained and adhered to on all projects
• Provide technical design guidance to Project staff on various aspects of design
• Review equipment and installation contract tenders and produce technical   adjudications / recommendations
• Review and comment on design documents and drawings from own discipline from own and other disciplines
• Compare procurement costs against budget and provide feedback to estimating
• Review and approve vendor documentation for compliance with project / study specifications
• Estimate, control and review design scope changes
• Provide feedback on the quality, use and value of design systems used in design
• Attend factory acceptance tests and provide input to vendor’s test documentation
• Assist with plant installation and commissioning
• Liaise with client to ensure that design is in accordance with agreed requirements
• Liaise with Site construction staff on technical queries on resolution of engineering design issues
• Prepare project close out reports with comparison of design and procurement budgets
• Conduct regular design group meetings within a project / study context


Position 5: Senior Electrical Engineer

Education/Certification/Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years of experience
• Conversant with international codes and standards of electrical power systems. Familiar with PC based software for electrical system studies/calculations Experience on greenfield new builds and brownfield modification projects
• Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
• Fluent written and spoken English

Areas of Responsibility/ Duties:

Ensure timely production of deliverables associated with the Electrical Design Engineering aspects of assigned Concept, FEED or EPC Projects
• Execute assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards
• Prepare/develop single line diagrams, protections metering and functional diagrams, technical specifications and material requisitions
• Carry out power system studies and design
• Support Electrical Design Section in relation to electrical matters and review of critical drawings.
• Liaise with the Process Engineering Department at all stages of the project where equipment has a particular influence on the process design philosophy
• Liaise with Mechanical and Project Engineering Groups in relation to electrical equipment associated with packages
• Carry out technical investigations, produce technical reports, engineering standards and procedures
• Participate in proposal activities as required


Position 6: Senior Automation Engineer

Skills / Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in draughting
• Conversant with relevant international standards and Codes or Practice
• 7 years experience related to the offshore oil and gas industry
• Minimum of 2 years working in a multi-discipline team environment
• Have experience in using CAD systems
• Experience with AVEVA and SPI systems
• Worked in an EPC environment
• Excellent English Communication & Report Writing Skills

Areas of Responsibility/ Duties:

• Execute all Control and Automation Engineering Design activities
• Maintain technical integrity
• Deliver and support a strong HSE culture
• Work within budget and schedule limits
• Assist other disciplines to achieve their goals
• Support Management where required
• Drive innovative solutions to reduce cost and schedule
• Participate in relevant meetings, such as Model Reviews and PEER Reviews
• Take full cognizance of Health, Safety and Environmental issues
• Liaise and interact with other disciplines to ensure overall project goals are met
• Advise management of variations in a timely manner
• Utilize suitable technology to increase efficiency
• Support the Lead Control and Automation Engineer supervising younger Designers and Draughtspersons
• Support training requirements for Design team members
• Ensure all deliverables are aligned with company and client procedures and national standards
• Keep up to date with latest procedures, client requirements and legislation
