In March 2015 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and KBR announced an agreement to establish a new engineering and support services company in Azerbaijan. The legal entity name of the new company is SOCAR-KBR LLC and provides design, engineering, technical, procurement, construction supervision and project management services for projects across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas sectors, in the Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey (AGT) region. The key objective of this strong partnership is to create a world class Azerbaijan-based EPCm services company that will utilize the strengths of both organisations and deliver top quality results by utilising, developing and promoting Azerbaijani national content. The company has a long term commitment from both organisations.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

•Manage the E3D model DB’s
•Performing clash checking using CLASH MANAGER
•Maintaining CATS & SPECS catalogue. 
•Setting up applications to suit project needs – E3D Draft, Spooler, MDS
•Setting up the environment for deliverables – Piping Isometrics
•Manage all SRO applications
•Manage Aveva Global for work share in multi-offices environment
•Setting up and running Model reviews both internal and client
•Coordinating layout/design activities for the piping discipline with all other disciplines involved in 3D modelling
•Provide user support / training of E3D and KBR SRO sw tools
•Reporting from 3D model regarding progress, object engineering and MTO
•Setting up and managing the Aveva Engineering DBs

Qualifications:

Industry recognized engineering and design qualification(s); HNC – Mechanical Engineering.

Experience Required:

•An understanding of the requirements for Detailed Design of Oil and Gas Topsides projects.
•Experience in overseeing cross-functional, multi-cultural teams working on time-sensitive projects requiring engineering excellence.
•Strengths in the development, maintenance and operation of the Aveva CAD systems to support project requirements
•15 plus years of experience in the design of oil and gas and petrochemical projects 
•10 plus years of experience with Aveva 2D/3D software incl. PML programming and being able to support PDMS administration requirements on the project
