Salary: 4,500 –  6,000 azn + annual bonuses

As the Tax Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our tax compliance, planning, and strategy. This includes managing tax filings, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, developing tax-efficient strategies to optimize our financial performance, and providing guidance on tax implications for various business decisions. Additionally, you will lead a team of tax professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to support their professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advice on tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and corporate restructuring;
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize clients’ tax positions;
• Oversee the preparation and filing of accurate and timely financial statements and tax returns;
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements based on local codes;
• Conduct tax research and analysis to address clients’ specific tax issues and inquiries;
• Lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training;
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to promote professional growth and development;
• Identify and mitigate tax risks associated with client engagements, ensuring compliance with professional guidelines;
• Stay abreast of developments in tax legislation, regulations, and industry trends, and assess their impact on clients and the consulting company;

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience  in tax consulting or advisory roles;
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (local PMS) or  ACCA papers preferred;
• Fluent communication skills in Azerbaijani and English languages, knowledge of Russian is an added advantage;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and senior management;
• Other duties which may be reasonably required by the Tax Director;
• Excellent skills in MS Office programs and 1C accounting software;
