Investment/Reporting Analyst position

An investment analyst is tasked with researching, collecting, analyzing information and providing recommendations that enable helps investment managers to make effective and profitable decisions on behalf of clients whilst building a successful investment portfolio. Continuously collecting and interpreting data on price developments, currency adjustments and yield fluctuations. Research on investment opportunities can be both on potential, developing and developed projects. The candidate should be able to give projections on the profitability of projects and valuations of particular business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing financial information relating to specific companies, e.g. company results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements to determine how an organization is positioned to deliver for investors
• Examining and assessing economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies
• Preparing thorough economic/financial reports on investment opportunities in different industrial fields and economies and writing financial research summaries
• Interpreting complicated financial information
• Financial modeling and projection
• Negotiating with international companies on purchasing their services – E.g. Liquidity offers, various market instruments, software and etc.
• Analyzing financial data, reporting the financial performance, presenting it as needed
• Performing market research
• Maintaining database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
• Performing day to day operations

Minimum Requirements:

• 1-3 years of related work experience in the similar field
• Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics
• Strong understanding of financial statements
• Understanding of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, funds, commodities, ETF, indexes and etc.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Excellent research skills and preparations of reports
• Excellent writing skills in English and Azerbaijani (Russian is preferred)
• BS degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field
• Proficient user of Microsoft office package

Desired Requirements

• Experience in the financial markets field
• CFA1 or CFA1 candidates are preferred
• Experience working in Investment Management/Brokerage industry and knowledge of Forex/Stock Exchange is preferred.
