(This grade will subject to an additional designation indicating a particular practice area – e.g. international audit, tax etc. There may be additional requirements associated with particular designations)
Should be moving towards the development of a specialisation and have a qualification in a relevant field e.g. external audit, IFRS audit etc and have minimum of three years of experience although many employees will have four years of experience before they reach this grade.
A Senior should be able to act as the individual responsible for fieldwork on all routine assignments. This will involve controlling and motivating the team in such a manner that the work is performed to the required standards and deadlines are met. Will always volunteer to work additional hours when circumstances require. A Senior should:-
• Play an active role in passing knowledge to more junior members of staff and showing concern about the efficient operation of the firm.
• Have a sound understanding of ethical matters and play a role in passing on ethical knowledge to more junior members of staff.
• Have a good knowledge of a chosen area of their chosen practice ara. For somebody working in international auditing and accounting this would entail a good working knowledge of the major IFRSs and has the ability to implement most of these in practice. A recognised accounting qualification would normally be indicative of having reached this level.
• Having good all round communication skills in either English or Azerbaijani. Russian is preferred.
