We are looking for candidates for an Operations Manager role to join us at SABAH School! 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership to a team of approximately 25 individuals including security, maintenance, cleaning staff, IT admin, receptionist, and other positions;
  • Oversee and optimize the operational processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments;
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff members to maintain a high level of performance and professionalism;
  • Develop and manage budgets for various operational needs, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources;
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of school facilities to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students and staff;
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard the school premises, students, and staff;
  • Manage IT infrastructure, software systems, and technology resources to support educational and administrative functions;
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to procure necessary supplies and services at competitive rates;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing school operations, health, safety, and security;
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and protocols to address various scenarios and ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred;
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably in an educational institution or similar setting;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff;
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis;
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing school operations and safety;
  • Familiarity with IT systems and infrastructure management is desirable;
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a proactive approach to problem-solving;
