Our client is a Swiss-Azerbaijani joint venture, an official representative of leading international brands such as Dom Perignon, Hennessy, The Macallan, Moet & Chandon, Glenmorangie, Bushmills, and several others, with more than 25 years of experience across various global markets. The company specializes in the import and distribution of premium alcohol and wines in Azerbaijan, continuously increasing its market share and brand portfolio with the aim of becoming the market leader.
Company currently seeking an experienced Commercial Director who, with their knowledge, experience, and understanding of the market, can make a significant contribution to the company’s further development and growth.
Key responsibilities:
SALES:

  • Developing a clear and effective commercial policy.
  • Managing inventory and procurement.
  • Motivating the sales team to achieve sales targets.

TEAM:

  • Building an effective team across three channels: retail, HoReCa, Corporate & Private sales.
  • Training and developing sales team members.
  • Setting clear goals for the sales team and ensuring their achievement.

CLIENTS:

  • Negotiating and securing contractual obligations in accordance with legislation and company policy, resolving disputes.
  • Minimizing accounts receivable.
  • Managing the customer lifecycle.

MARKET:

  • Monitoring and analyzing market situation and competitors‘ activity.
  • Taking all actions needed to ensure revenue growth and increase of the company’s market share.
  • Collaborating with the marketing department to maximize the commercial effectiveness of marketing activities and increase the company’s market share.

Competencies for success:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Director or in a relevant role.
  • Fluent in Azerbaijani and Russian languages. Knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of sales and market research and analysis methods.
  • Commercial approach combined with strategic thinking.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership qualities, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Higher education in business administration, finance, or a relevant field.
